Desi Events - a few in the coming weeks

• Who am I: An Indian woman living in the western suburbs of Chicago for many years
• Why this site:  I am always asking friends for referrals - tailors, caterers, specific items; but did not have a shareable database that could be easily accessed. 
• What is this site: An aggregate of all recommendations, so if I've missed someone be sure to contact me. The businesses are not guaranteed in any way, I hope to include reviews in the near future​
• Where : For now all recommendations are for the Chicagoland and western suburb areas
• How : this website came to be, and this is important. For years, my friends were literally my 'phone book' giving me contact information for the same businesses at times, whenever I sent out a help message. I finally had a 'tubelight moment' as we old-timers used to say and desi-sifarish was born. So to my wow group of friends - you know who you are - a big thank you!!
